In an alternate reality....

Out of curiosity, I decided to do a little color palette swapping side project in my spare time. As it implies, each character will have their pallets from the Tokyo Mew Mew 2002 anime and New switched.

It all looks a bit uncanny to me. Not sure if it's the aesthetics of the two series, the difference in the thickness in the outlines, the coloring kind of clashing with the original backgrounds in the scenes chosen or if it's just the differing styles in general. Or maybe I'm just used to the two series being just the way they are XD.

I did the same, it's just more prevalent to me, and the prevalence of "sos" and "yoy", as well as nonsensical reversing in ytp makes it seem like this is about that

the new flcl series looks so fucking bad. imo the best part of the og flcl was the style and animation and the new one looks so swagless
